Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibilities

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will work independently, with minimal supervision, with or without assistance to perform tasks which range from simple to complex. Responsibilities will range across a wide variety of categories including but not limited to, troubleshooting and repairing molding machines, automation, robots, auxiliary equipment, preventative maintenance, spare parts/supplies inventory management, electrical, plumbing, welding, fabricating, painting, and any other services needed to maintain the facilities or equipment. This position will be required to travel between multiple facilities in Muskegon, Grand Haven, and Spring Lake as needed.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Troubleshoots equipment issues and determines best means for maintenance and repairs.
*Inspects or tests damaged machine parts, and advises supervisor of repair needs.
*Installs, replaces, or changes machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
*Records repair and machine maintenance information.
*Completes preventative maintenance tasks on equipment as detailed in preventative maintenance program.
*Orders and picks up parts as needed.
*Keeps work area neat and clean according to company standards.
*Works safely and follows all company rules and procedures.

Qualifications:
*High School Diploma or equivalent required.
*Minimum 5 years related experience in a plastic injection molding environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Ability to read and understand, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints.
*Functional computer knowledge required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
