The Headlines:
In the role of Data Science Manager working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the North America IT team. The person plays a critical role in the delivery of advanced analytics solutions, responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of innovative analytical solutions. This role in our organization as will support the ability to gain a competitive advantage through Data and Analytics; as such this requires a person who brings both thought leadership and well-honed skills as a data science practitioner.
The Responsibilities:
- Oversee the continuous improvement and governance of data science best practices; ensure solutions can be productionalized and repeatable
- Development of machine learning solutions in R and Python as both an individual contributor and a leader of external resources
- Assistance in value determination and communication to a broader audience, recommendation and implementation of innovative new technologies and data. Deliver ROI, prioritizing and documenting the potential and results of each delivered analytic solution.
- Oversee the internal data resources and consulting partners leveraging the data science tool sets
- Collaborate with business partners, consulting partners and advanced analytics managers to bring innovative analytics to Molson Coors leadership
This Manager will be:
- Building Data Science Solutions: Create statistical models to support the prioritized business use cases. Interpret new insights from predictive statistical models, develop and articulate strategic recommendations and communicate implications to the strategic analytics team. Work with data engineer to integrate data from multiple internal and external sources to be used for analytics models.
- Managing the strategic analytics data science team: Review the statistical models developed by the team and help to generate insights and recommendations. Ensure the team understands the scope and requirements for each project. Help identify and escalate resource allocation and performance issues. Evaluate and provide guidance on the application of analytic methodologies. Provide coaching to the team when appropriate.
- Providing quality assurance and best practices: Work with the product owners, analyst, and other data scientists to establish and enforce standards and governance. Collaborate to review the source code from other data scientist. Identify new data sources, emerging technologies and analytic trends and implement as feasible. Continued training and development.
The Other Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience (4 years) in the field of data science
- A minimum of 3 years working in an environment delivering advanced analytics using Data Science techniques and tools including predictive, A/B, and machine learning analysis.
- Managing consultants and internal resources to deliver advanced analytic solutions Previous experience managing consultants and internal resources to deliver advanced analytic solutions
- Deep understanding of data and techniques to cleanse, harmonize, and evaluate business insights
- You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business
- You are a skilled negotiator focused on the client; your constant curiosity fosters your innovative style and you can equally execute ideas given to you
