Job Title: Quality Engineer FLSA Status: Non Exempt MMG Engineered Extrusions is looking for a driven Aluminum Extrusions Quality Engineer to strengthen our quality systems, elevate process capability, and support continuous improvement across our extrusion and fabrication operations. Key ResponsibilitiesLead quality assurance activities for extrusion presses, fabrication, machining, and finishing operationsDevelop and maintain control plans, inspection standards, and SPC monitoringConduct root‑cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC)Support die design reviews, extrusion trials, and recipe optimizationSupport of the ISO 9001 system as well as internal audits.Perform dimensional inspections, mechanical testing, and metallurgical evaluationsPartner with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to improve process stability and reduce scrapManage nonconformance investigations and customer complaint resolutionMaintain compliance with ISO standards and customer specificationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, yield, and press performanceUtilize MES systems (e.g., EPICS) for data analysis, downtime tracking, and quality reportingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or 2 to 5 years in quality engineering field.3 years of experience in aluminum extrusion or metals manufacturing (preferred)Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint reading, and tolerance analysisExperience with machining, fabrication, and finishing processesFamiliarity with SPC, capability studies, and quality toolsStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to collaborate across departments and communicate with customersPreferred SkillsExperience with EPICS or similar MES platformsKnowledge of quench systems, aging cycles, and press recipe optimizationBackground in PFMEA, control plans, and PPAPLean or Six Sigma certification PI281841980
