We have an immediate need for Legal Secretary for a prestigious law firm in downtown Austin to provides administrative support services supporting litigation, transactional, and regulatory attorneys, in a broad range of practice areas and industries. This position will be full-time in the office.
Responsibilities :
- Schedule appointments, receive and make telephone calls, open and sort mail, make travel arrangements, and perform other administrative duties.
- Revise and format documents, pleadings, discovery, briefs, and correspondence.
- Assist with attorney billing and time entry.
- Calendar deadlines from incoming mail, pleadings, and hearings.
- E-file in state and federal courts and do service on opposing parties.
- Maintain files and indexes.
- Maintain attorney expenses and submit for reimbursement.
- Travel arrangements.
- Maintain privacy rules by not revealing information other than to the appropriate parties involved in a legal action.
- Work with the administrative team on various projects.
- Act as backup for Conflicts team.
- Work with Attorney Recruiting and Development Manager.
- Other administrative duties as requested.
