- Ensures safe operation of the residential transportation vehicles
- Ensures the safe and timely pick up and drop off of people supported and staff
- Safely operates vehicles on surface streets, freeways, highways, and interstates in compliance with DMV and Highway Patrol protocols
- Operates vehicle lift for people supported in a safe manner and ensures wheelchairs are secured properly
- Follows transportation schedule
- Transports and delivers equipment and supplies between locations, as needed
- Keeps van interior/exterior neat and clean
- Completes and maintains required vehicle documentation
- Follows company policies regarding safe and proper use of lift and transfer of persons supported
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; required
- Current California Driver License; required
- Current and valid proof of automobile insurance; required
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience; required
- Clean driving record with DMV driver's record printout; required
- Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
- Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, health screening, TB screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
