Job Summary
Responsible for a wide range of day-to-day operations of the Health Information Management department to maintain a true and accurate medical record. This includes analysis, re-analysis, file retrieval, deficiency tracking, scanning, and indexing, as well as maintaining security and confidentiality of patients' health information. Attends staff meetings and attends internal education sessions as scheduled. Performs other duties as required.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Registered Health Information technologist (RHIT) is preferred.
Experience:
- 1 years’ experience in an HIM department or medical setting is preferred.
- Administrative and Clerical skills preferred.
- Experience with computers and Microsoft Office; Excel and Word.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Light Work: Lift up to 15 lbs. Frequent walking, standing, sitting, crouching, reaching, push/pull, handling paperwork, filing, and speaking/listening. Needs manual dexterity.
