JOB SUMMARY
Conducts studies and analyzes data pertaining to quality and system performance to drive organizational excellence. The successful incumbent for this position should have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Working knowledge of the principles and methods of research methodology, statistical analysis, and report design.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of Windows-based PC system and a range of software packages, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Quality Reporting Systems.
- Will assist the Director of Quality in regulatory and accreditation survey preparation and ongoing compliance.
- Ability to evaluate medical records and other health care data.
- Ability to plan, organize, and lead data collection activities.
- Ability to plan, organize, and lead performance improvement events and activities.
- Ability to coach, counsel, and work with leaders and managers to improve performance metrics.
- Experience reporting to all levels of individuals within and outside the organization.
- Experience in providing education and training to staff, providers, and the community.
- Experience:

Three (3) years' experience in a hospital setting with experience/knowledge in leading performance improvement projects, and the ability to abstract and analyze data. Knowledge of Process Improvement and appropriate statistical tools for analysis of data. Must be familiar with CMS and other accreditation/regulatory standards. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent presentation skills. Experience working directly with physicians on committees. Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to sensitive information.

Licensure/Certification:
- Clinical background required.
- If a successful candidate holds an RN degree, proof of licensure must be held in the state of West Virginia.
- Certification of Lean, Six Sigma, CPHQ preferred.
