Responsibilities
Maintain upkeep of uniforms and sewing supplies and recommend new and replacement uniforms as necessary based on need departmental needs and ware of uniforms.
Seamstress/Tailor is responsible for recording, controlling and monitoring inventory needs, recommend reorder for replacements/stock while keeping sewing area neat and clean for an assortment of Team Member garments. Daily duties include repairing,mending, hemming and replace buttons as needed and per the repair tickets on garments
After repairs are completed, add notes to system, add time clock message to Team Member, complete the repair ticket and place in appropriate area for team member to receive.
- Possess and execute complete knowledge of wardrobe policies
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and with a team
- Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude at all times
- Phone, computer and necessary office equipment as well as sewing and engraving machine knowledge required preferred
- Computer knowledgeable to maintain Wardrobe records via Foundation (Uniform Software system)
- Basic knowledge of all Seamstress duties and responsibilities to include sewing equipment, pressing, and heat application with the willingness to learn any other necessary equipment
- Alter and repair garments and linen according to department policies assist with issuing, receiving and maintaining Team Member uniforms
Qualifications
- Assist all Wardrobe Attendants, New Hires and team members in a positive manner
- Work directly with HR as needed
- Have the ability to work independently and as a team
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Experience in sewing procedures to include hemming, mending, altering and button replacements
