About the Role:
Monica’s Superior K-9’s is hiring motivated Groomers and Groomers-in-Training for the evening shift. This role is perfect for someone who either has professional grooming experience or is looking to grow into a full grooming position by starting as a grooming assistant. Evening shifts are ideal for those who prefer a calmer, slower-paced environment while gaining hands-on experience in a luxury salon.
Responsibilities:
For Experienced Groomers:
- Perform full-service grooming: baths, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning
- Groom all breeds and coat types confidently and efficiently
- Communicate with pet owners about their dog’s style and needs
- Keep your station and shared areas clean and organized
For Groomers-in-Training:
- Assist experienced groomers with bathing, brushing, prepping, drying, and cleaning
- Learn grooming techniques hands-on in a supportive environment
- Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with confidence and patience
- Progress toward performing full grooms independently
Requirements:
Experienced Groomers:
- Minimum 2 years of grooming experience
- Must bring your own grooming tools (table and dryers provided)
- Professional, punctual, and confident in your skills
Groomers-in-Training:
- Experience in bathing or handling dogs is a plus, but not required
- Must be eager to learn and open to feedback
- Reliable, hard-working, and passionate about working with animals
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
