WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE:
Fast paced Truck Equipment Shop has immediate Full-time opening for an associate in our warehouse/yard.
Summary:
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, make sure all proper transactions are done, and systems are kept up to date, and prepares items, for the shop on shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, order, or other records.
Affixes shipping label on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons
Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damages in transit.
Completes physical inventory counting and cycle counting when directed.
Stages equipment for shop per job order, sales order, or verbal instructions.
Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Responsible for general upkeep of warehouse and yard.
Receives items from purchase order onto inventory by using mainframe computer system, affixes shipping label on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons.
Maintains shipping schedule reports and stages equipment for shop per job order, sales order, or verbal instructions (Hydraulics)

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Order processing, Manufacturing software.
Other Skills:
Required to operate forklift.
