Pet Bather

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dog Bather to join our passionate team at Montage Pet Lodge. As a Dog Bather, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to our furry clients and ensuring their cleanliness and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Bathe, shampoo, and condition dogs of various breeds and sizes, paying close attention to specific instructions

• Perform thorough brush-outs and ensure proper coat care, including nail trimming, ear cleaning. (Gland expression and sanitary trims as needed /Requested)

• Safely handle and restrain dogs during the bathing, adhering to safety protocols

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and tools.

• Observe and report any health or behavioral concerns to the grooming team or management

• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming preferences and address any questions or concerns

• Provide exceptional customer service by delivering a positive and friendly experience to both dogs and their owners

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Dog Bather in a professional grooming salon or similar setting

• Excellent dog handling skills, with the ability to safely manage and control dogs of various sizes and temperaments

• Strong attention to detail to ensure each dog receives personalized grooming based on breed standards and owner preferences

• Good physical stamina, as the role requires lifting and handling dogs of different weights and sizes

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency

• Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner

• Knowledge of different dog breeds, their coat types, and grooming requirements is preferred

• Familiarity with grooming tools and equipment, including but not limited to bathing tubs, grooming tables, clippers, and dryers

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
