What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer and Shipper position at Montana Fruit Tree Company?
Job Description: Employees will organize fruit trees, pack orders, prepare orders for shipping, label plants, pot plants, and other activities involved in shipping orders out. Lots of fun stuff involving the propagation, pruning, training, and overall care will be taught (including soil, frost, climate, and many other factors). Several people from this hiring pool will be working our pickup days on Saturday and will be expected to teach customers about these things that you have recently learned. We are seekers quick learners who can also teach!
Preferred Experience: Strong work history, references. However, the biggest determining factor is your attitude. No negativity but only honest, positive, hardworking, and pleasant to be around individuals. Requirements: Come ready to work. Must be able to work in a cold storage environment (constant 34-38 degrees), organize inventory and pack orders efficiently, lift 50 pounds (occasionally), label and pot plants, work in a standing position for extended periods, use some manual tools such as a shovel or rake. Duration of this job is 1.5-2 months. Looking for people to start this coming Monday, April 8th. The season will end as soon as shipping season ends, which will be mid-May to early June.
