Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing a variety of maintenance tasks. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, systems, and overall facility functionality. The position works 1 weekend day and rotates on call for after-hours emergencies.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections of units and maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for system monitoring and control.
- Address routine maintenance for 103 unit apartment complex.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand complex systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and communicate with immediate supervisor and peers.
- Conduct routine monthly pest control
- Painting, drywall, basic residential plumbing/electrical.
- Provide residential painting services when required.
- Assist in supervising junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while interacting with staff and vendors.
Skills
- Proficient in electrical systems with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various types of machinery.
- Familiarity with basic household maintenance.
- Experience with electrical and plumbing is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices and procedures.
- Previous experience in apartment/hotel environments is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with team members and clients.
- Leadership abilities to supervise and mentor other technicians effectively.
