The MSU Alumni Foundation is expanding and seeking to hire a Vice President of Advancement Services.
The Vice President of Advancement Services will provide strategic leadership for all technical and data-driven functions that support Montana State University’s advancement efforts, including prospect management and research, data analytics and reporting, data management, gift compliance and administration, as well as information technology. This role is responsible for the integration of data into all aspects of strategy to help drive successful fundraising initiatives.
Reporting to the President and CEO and serving on the Alumni Foundation’s Leadership Team, the Vice President is a core team member who leads a team of five (5) full-time direct reports overseeing the functions of Prospect Management & Research, Donor Information, Reporting & Analytics, Advancement Services and Financial Stewardship, and a combined staff of approximately fifteen (15) team members. The Advancement Services team collaborates with the Alumni Foundation’s Development, Finance, Engagement and Communications teams. The Vice President also serves on the Development Leadership Team, a seven (7) person team responsible for driving accountability, facilitating collaboration across teams, inputting into decisions, socializing change, and upholding department values.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in advancement services, operational support for fundraising campaigns, data management and infrastructure, prospect development, or a related field, with a strong focus on fundraising analytics, metrics and strategy.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with experience building and managing a high-performance development operations team.
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
