What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director - Director in Training position at Montessori Kids Universe?

Are you looking for a place to grow? We are looking for a Director in Training for our new location in Atlee that will open in the next 12-18 months! Come join MKU Short Pump until we open our new location! We are looking to find a great fit to help the Director and the teachers, we encourage anyone that is interested to apply! We are looking for someone who is passionate about children and education!

1. Maintain the office in an orderly and efficient manner in terms of documents, records, and positive customer service and to maintain confidentiality of all communications.

2. Communicate and relay day-to-day information (phones, conversations, buzzers) to Director, faculty, and staff when working in the front office.

3. Maintain current ongoing records and database on all students and staff in the school and have same available for the School's review upon request. Maintain the confidentiality of all such records.

4. Act as payment liaison with the Business Office/ADP (ongoing record keeping of checks sent to the business office, direct debit payments, tuition payments) and distribute petty cash.

5. Communicate facility and school issues with the Business Office.

6. Prepare and maintain parent contracts.

7. Relay payroll, transit check, and medical benefit information to Business Office/ADP.

8. Proofread/edit school accreditation and yearly reports, school-wide newsletters, conferences and reports.

9. Order and coordinate the distribution of all supplies (paper, office, school). Itemize invoices for Business Office/ADP.

10. Assist the teachers when needed.

11. Child Abuse—Any incident of unexplained bruises, cuts, burns, etc., or any suspected child abuse should be reported to the Director.

12. Maintain CPR, First Aid, and Medical Administration Training updates for all staff.

13. Provide medicine forms to parents and administer medications when necessary.

14. Keep track of the medical log in the office.

15. Plan, implement, and record monthly fire drills.

16. Assist the Department of Health officers who visit the school.

17. Follow all School policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook and the School's Rules and Regulations, as presently existing or as may hereafter be amended.

18. Follow all standards in accordance with Virginia licensing department.

19. Any additional duties as determined by the Executive Director.
