Well known manufacturing company seeks Accounts Payable Specialist-Bookkeeper candidate with Quickbooks expertise and 3-way match experience. Will process high volume invoices, perform reconciliations and job cost accounting. *Experience processing ADP payroll a plus.

This role is critical in supporting the financial operations of an organization. This position is responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, such as data entry, recordkeeping, reconciliations, and general administrative support. Will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

This is an established, dynamic smaller company where multiple hats are worn. *9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Entry and Recordkeeping: Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.
2. Accounts Payable Support: Assist with processing vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and adherence to company policies. Match invoices with purchase orders and other supporting documents. Help in preparing payment batches and ensure timely payments to vendors.
3. Accounts Receivable Support: Assist in generating and distributing customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Record customer payments and apply them to customer accounts. Follow up on outstanding customer invoices and support the collections process.
4. Bank and Account Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Update and maintain reconciliation schedules.
5. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, including filing documents, responding to inquiries, and assisting with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance support role.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software and MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience processing ADP payroll a plus
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
