Moore Veterinary Care is a local one-doctor veterinary practice that sees exotics and small animals (dogs, cats, pocket pets). Providing compassion and care for the beloved companion animals of Ventura County for 40 years, our clinic is looking for a long term veterinary assistant/receptionist to join our team. Experience is not required, but preferred.
We are looking for an individual who shares our aspiration for individualized and quality client -patient care. This position is crucial in ensuring exceptional care for our clients and patients. This means we expect a positive attitude, eagerness to help clients, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, as well as ability to work collaboratively with the team.

Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to…
- Greet clients and their pets warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic's appointment calendar.
- Assist the Doctor with animal restraint, examinations, and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the examination room and treatment areas.
- Handle client inquiries, provide information about our services, and educate clients on pet care.
- Contact clients to get progress reports, or relay lab results.
- Process payments and manage financial transactions accurately.
- Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Keep the clinic clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Provide compassionate care and support to both clients and their pets.
