Description
We are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy. This is a key role in our financial operations, ensuring precision, compliance, and maintaining GAAP standards. As a member of the finance team, you’ll have the opportunity to support strategic decision-making, drive efficiency and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and post journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
· Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
· Support AP, AR and Payroll functions as needed
· Assist with financial reporting, audits, and other renewals
· Perform ad hoc analysis and accounting projects as assigned
· Ensure adherence to multi-jurisdiction regulatory requirements
· Review and Maintain Fixed Assets
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· 3 years of accounting experience (public or private)
· Strong understanding of GAAP
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Netsuite, SAP)
· Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
· CPA candidate or certification is a plus
· Experience in the retail or furniture industry is a bonus
