Vice President of Student Development
Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Student Development is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of all student development programs and services. The Vice President implements initiatives to promote enrollment, retention, and completion for Moraine Valley Community College students. This leader is committed to learning college philosophy by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate degree and a minimum of five years of progressive higher education experience with increasing responsibility, including significant leadership experience in student development or a related college administrative area. Community college experience is preferred. In addition to the education and experience requirements, the candidate should demonstrate proven leadership in higher education, including a strong background in strategic enrollment planning, financial aid, and advancing student success initiatives. The qualified candidate will also have experience with crisis management, student conduct, Title IX compliance, data-driven decision-making, and student assessment.
We are seeking someone with excellent organizational skills, a collegial management style, and a willingness to be part of a collaborative team.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; evening and weekend hours may be required; on call 24/7. Salary range: $180,000-$192,000.
