What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Field Technician position at Moran Environmental Recovery, LLC?
Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Small vessel operation
- Skilled equipment operations including but not limited to forklift, pump operations, hand tools (Hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and gas powered) and heavy equipment (excavators, loaders and back hoes).
- Welding and cutting
- Oil Spill response
- Deploying, retrieval, and processing of sorbent materials
- Boom deployment and retrieval
- Boom and fender maintenance
- Driving/positioning company vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
- All employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must have valid driver license, valid car insurance and submit driving record for the past three years
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC Card
- Ability to work in all weather conditions; rain, sleet, storm, snow, heat, etc.
- Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively
- 24hour and 7 day a week availability based upon project or emergency response needs
- 1-3 years’ experience in the maritime industry or construction industry
- First/Aid CPR
- HAZWOPER
- Current Passport
- Boaters Card (Washington state boater’s card)
- USCG License
