PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB:
This position exists to manage the operation of the Instructional Office in collaboration with the Coordinator of Instructional Support. It involves the development, analysis, and evaluation of processes to ensure efficiency and compliance within the Instructional Division. This position facilitates communication between the Instructional Office and the other areas of the college and provides support services to Deans, VPI, faculty and instructors. This position collaborates with Division Chairs, Deans and College Store Manager to ensure all deadlines for textbook selection and accurate data is entered using the automated book selection process, while maintaining an accurate textbook list. The Instructional Coordinator will collect and file course syllabi and inform the appropriate Dean and/or Vice President of Instruction of any issues. The Coordinator is responsible for accurate generation of instructor contracts using the FLAC process and reconciles the course schedule to contracts using FLAC. The position manages daily room scheduling (except course classroom scheduling), including receiving and managing of outside room use requests. The Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with the Coordinator of Instructional Support on the management of college catalog content and engages in project management as assigned by supervisor. This position serves as a back-up to the Coordinator of Instructional Support and may require occasional evening and weekend hours, as well as occasional travel. The Instructional Coordinator shall embrace the college's guiding principles of integrity, respect, open and honest communication, and collaboration.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution and experience that involves discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying or sharing knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively and independently with diverse groups of people.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Ability to use other software, especially related to an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) such as Banner.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to work with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work occasional long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends necessitated by special projects, compliance with deadlines, length of institutional day and week, and committee service.
- Ability to travel occasionally as necessary to perform job duties.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Experience in a higher education, specifically the community college setting.
- Experience with Banner software.
Anticipated Start Date: July 2023
Salary and Benefits:
$41,000 to $46,763 based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.
