Morgan County Animal Services is currently hiring for a FT Animal Services officer. Must be able to work on call and weekend rotations. This position is responsible for the routine care of the animals impounded at the Animal Services Facility and responding to citizen complaints and emergency calls regarding animal related issues. The position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring and assisting in maintaining animal health, vaccinating, and testing animals upon impound, assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of the kennel facility, keeping inventory of feed and other animal care supplies, investigating complaints, issue warnings and citations, attending court and testifying in court cases, answering phones, typing reports, and performing other tasks as assigned.

Pay: $17.71 - $18.61 per hour

Application Question(s):
- Staff rotate being on call for 1 week (Thursday to Thursday) to respond to after hour emergencies and to provide animal care on weekends and holidays. At end of on-call week, staff have Friday off. Are you willing to be on-call?
- Please describe any experience you have with providing animal care, i.e. feeding, cleaning kennels, vaccinating, administering medications.
- Please describe any experience you have working/volunteering for an animal rescue group.
- Do you have any certifications from National Animal Care & Control Association? If so, what certifications do you hold?

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:
