This role involves developing and delivering engaging lessons in accordance with state standards, assessing student progress, and working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state standards and are appropriate for the age and abilities of students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- Integrate technology and other resources to enhance student learning.
Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Use data to inform instruction and make adjustments as necessary to support student achievement.
Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Address and resolve conflicts and behavioral issues in accordance with school policies.
Collaboration and Professional Development:
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and practices.

Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid South Carolina teaching certification in General Education or eligibility for certification.
Experience:
- Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and engage students at the elementary or secondary level.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
