What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer - Wastewater Treatment Plant position at Morgantown Utility Board?
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain WWTP equipment, buildings and grounds in a clean and orderly manner.
- Cleaning the tanks, grounds, buildings of the WWTP.
- Be willing and able to learn a working knowledge of the wastewater treatment process.
- Assist in repair of WWTP equipment.
- Mow and trim grass.
- Paint
- Drive sludge truck when needed.
- Promote, ensure and maintain a safe and orderly workplace.
Job Requirements:
Applicants should have knowledge of basic mechanical skills. A valid driver’s license is required. A CDL License or ability to obtain within one year is required A basic understanding of mathematics and the ability to perform basic math skills is required. The applicant must be able to work some weekends and work independently without supervision. Training will be provided to the successful applicant in various duties and operational skills required.
