DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include, but not limited to the following:
- Accurately read meters
- Removal of meters for repairs / setting meters for new service
- Meter testing
- Non-payment service shutoff / collections from customer and reconnections of service
- Work productively and efficiently without taking shortcuts
- Required to be on call one week of each month
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver’s license along with a good driving record
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess basic mathematic and writing skills
- Being in good physical condition with ability to walk meter routes is required
- Appropriate personal appearance and good communications skills required due to contact with customers
- Available to work overtime and report to work after hours in response to emergencies
- Abilities to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold work in all weather conditions

Basic Qualifications
- Must be able to walk 5-10 miles per day
- Must be able to lift 35- 50 pounds
- Able to work ourside in all types of weather (extreme heat and cold)
- Experience using a handheld device or tablet
- Basic arithmetic skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, etc.)
- Able to follow written and oral instructions
- Available to work on-call 24 hours a day for 7 day periods, approximately every 6-8 weeks
