Maintenance Technician II

The Maintenance Technician II position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties such as installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all buildings and equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of Morningstar Living’s goals and objectives.

What will I do as a Maintenance Technician II?

• Complete all assigned work orders and preventative maintenance work on equipment and plant facilities in noted time frame. Maintains progress records of work, documenting pertinent information.
• Assists in preserving a safe environment including but not limited to proper storage of materials, proper handling of trash, proper handling of soiled articles, and proper discarding of disposable and infectious waste.
• Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all buildings and equipment.
• Assist with outside grounds maintenance and snow removal when needed.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

What do I need to in role of Maintenance Technician II?

• Must have a current, valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Minimum of one (1) year Maintenance experience.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local nursing regulations.
• Willing to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to do all forms of maintenance, repair, security, and other work as assigned.
• Must possess self-direction in management of time, work and related activities.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for an 8-hour period. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
