About the Role We are seeking motivated and compassionate people with a strong desire to help others. A Retirement Services Representative responds to inquiries from retirement plan participants. These individuals can be prospective or existing clients of our managed account service, Morningstar Retirement Manager. In this role, you will spend most of your time interacting with clients via phone calls, emails, and live chat. Interactions will consist of questions about investment strategies, how our service works, and how to properly leverage and navigate our online user interface. This is an ideal position for someone with excellent client service skills and wants to enter the retirement industry. This role can lead into other roles within Workplace such as an education consultant, sales, marketing, or relationship management. Job Responsibilities • Resolve inbound client inquiries and conduct account reviews via phone, email, and chat. • Identify client needs, provide recommendations, and guide clients through features and functionalities of our managed account service. • Increase service adoption and retention by communicating value and benefits to the client. • Troubleshoot and resolve client concerns with the utmost care and respect by listening and offering creative resolutions. • Provide exceptional service and satisfaction through education and compassion. • Establish relationships and trust through interactive communication. • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Morningstar’s retirement products and services. • Collaborate with our operations and product groups to resolve account issues. • Share customer feedback and information with other team members and leaders to continuously improve and evolve the customer experience. Qualifications • College degree or equivalent work experience • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Prior experience working in a customer-focused environment • A deep customer service focus, strong attention to detail, and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment • Proactive, strategic, and creative thinking skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving • Advanced proficiencies in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Nice to have • Prior experience supporting financial practices or financial software solutions is a plus • Bilingual in Spanish a plus 002_MstarAssocLLC Morningstar Investment Management LLC Legal Entity If you received and accept an offer from us, we require that personal and any related investments be disclosed confidentially to our Compliance team (days vary by region).
