What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Morrill County Community Hospital?
Respond to CFO/CEO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
Recommends to management, major strategies, objectives, and policies for the facility.
Ensure cash collected reconciles with bank deposits.
Monitor cash balances and perform bank reconciliations.
Reconcile accounts monthly to include general ledger accounts.
Participates in the gathering and analyzing of information for Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting, and annual financial audits.
Assists with tracking capital assets and lease liabilities.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions.
Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
Perform quality work within deadlines without supervision, be detail-oriented, and able to perform with a high level of accuracy.
Establish working relationships with registration, coding, and billing departments to ensure revenue cycle workflows are optimized.
Communicate with co-workers, management, and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
Other duties as assigned by management.
