What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Field Helper position at Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc.?
MORRIS & RITCHIE ASSOCIATES, INC. (MRA) is currently seeking a Survey Field Technician for our Laurel, MD office. This position works with the Survey Crew Chief and/or other field crew staff to accurately and efficiently gather data for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
Responsibilities:
- Use equipment such as tapes, chains, sight rods, surveying and GPS instrumentation in conducting surveys
- Creates field sketches to record engineering data
- Operates truck, maintains survey equipment and tools
Successful candidates MUST have:
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
- HS Diploma/GED
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
- Basic mathematical abilities
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
