Job Title: Student Worker – Catering
Reports To: Catering Assistant Manager/Hospitality Manager
Department: Conference/Catering
Classification: Non – Exempt
Job Summary:
This position included a wide variety of services to facilitate catering events and activities.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain a positive attitude and customer service to all guests, customers, co-workers, etc.
- Reports any unsafe conditions, accidents, and/or injuries to the Manager on Duty
- Participates in event set up and event break down.
- Thoroughly cleans area after events as needed (Hospitality Suite)
- Packing event supplies for upcoming caterings.
- Unpacking event supplies after catering events and organizing the catering storage room.
- Work catering events; Serving guests, clearing tables, washing dishes, etc.
- Polish silverware, glasses, plates, etc.
- Complete all job duties while following safety guidelines and practices throughout their shift.
- Can work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Help prep food for events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current college student.
Ability to read and write.
Must be responsible/dependable.
Job Context:
Frequent contact with co-workers, customers, college students, college faculty, and staff.
Physical Conditions & Demands:
Prolonged standing, bending, and walking.
Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
Able to perform physical activities.
