We are partnering with a high-growth, privately held, fully integrated real estate investment firm focused exclusively on medical office properties throughout the Sunbelt. They’ve asked us to identify a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and fully own operations, asset management, property management, and leasing across a national medical office portfolio.
This executive will bring urgency, accountability, and operational discipline to the organization, while driving performance, developing talent, and scaling a best-in-class operating platform.

The Opportunity
- Lead and oversee all day-to-day operations across a national medical office portfolio totaling approximately 3 million square feet and 350 tenants
- Own and integrate asset management, property management, leasing, and corporate operations
- Drive operational excellence, financial performance, and portfolio value creation
- Build, mentor, and retain high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with the Managing Director and executive leadership on strategy, investments, and long-term growth
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, and financings, helping guide transaction execution and portfolio optimization
- Lead performance management, budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, and reporting
- Serve as a visible executive leader across the portfolio with regular market and property engagement
Ideal Background
The ideal candidate is a proven real estate operator who has built their career from the ground up, has a high sense of urgency and now operates at an executive leadership level.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in private equity real estate, asset management, portfolio operations, or entrepreneurial real estate platforms
- Deep working knowledge of leasing, property management, and asset management
- Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, and portfolio performance
- Demonstrated success balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution
- Experience operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, privately held environments
- Track record of driving accountability, urgency, and operational improvement
- Yardi and/or VTS experience preferred
