What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managing Director position at Morrow & Associates?
We’ve been retained by a highly stable and actively growing, private REIT, whose focus is acquiring, renovating, repositioning, and managing multifamily apartment communities throughout North & South Carolina. All properties located in the Carolinas with 90% in North Carolina.
They’ve asked us to identify an experienced and forward-thinking Managing Director/C-Suite Level candidate to head their multifamily property management platform. This role will oversee the management of a their entire portfolio (~7,000 units and growing) with a focus on fostering team development, enhancing operational performance, and driving both resident satisfaction and financial results. Additionally, this person will create strategies and effectively market the firm’s operations as a third-party property management firm in the region. Position based in Charlotte, NC.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Property Management with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
- Experience working for a top 100 Property Management firm.
- Proven track record of managing a portfolio of properties successfully.
- Experience in business development and securing 3rd party management contracts.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in achieving financial targets.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Property Management software is required.
- Ability to travel regularly to properties throughout North and South Carolina.
