What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Morrow County Health District?

Job Duties:
- Provide patient care and perform a variety of procedures and assessment duties including vital signs, EKG, Oximetry testing.
- Performs phlebotomy and administers injections.
- Records and updates information in patient's electronic medical record.
- Ensures supplies are adequately stocked and outdates are pulled from supply areas.
- Assists provider as necessary and completes authorizations/referrals as requested.
Job Details:
- Highschool graduate or equivalent required.
- Must have a BLS certification.
- Prior Medical Assisting and Electronic Health Record experience required.
- Bilingual preferred.
- MA Certification and phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
