Plant Operator

Morrow Energy is looking to add to our growing team in Houston, TX at our Blue Ridge Renewables location!

Job Summary:

Under supervision, the operator will need to perform day-to-day operational changes to the gas plant as well as consistently collecting data for record keeping. Must be willing to learn how to do equipment swaps and repairs. This position is shift work of 12-hour days. The first few weeks will be Monday through Friday (For Training Purposes until added to regular shift schedule), as well as having to work some holidays. This is an on-call position. This position requires more than just operations. The operator will be asked to do day-to-day tasks including groundskeeping, landscaping, and other duties as assigned around the plant to ensure a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct regular surveillance of automated production operations

· Responsible for lockout and tagout duties for maintenance work

· Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully

· Write effectively, and understand verbal and written communications, including but not limited to email

· Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance

· Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the public

· Required to work non-traditional hours

· Callout and unscheduled overtime are required and anticipated. Must be able to respond to callouts within 30 minutes

· Emergency response and on-call availability is required and anticipated

Position Requirements:

· Ability to work overtime, on-call and weekends when needed

· The ability to travel when needed (a few days a month on average)

· High School Diploma/GED (College Degree Preferred Engineering/Science)

· Ability to operate ATV

· Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S.

· Experience with analytical equipment and data is a plus but not required

· A technical degree or background is a plus but not required

· Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds on occasion

· Required to work outdoors approximately 90% of each workday. Work involves exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements.

· Required to walk over steep and rough terrain for considerable distances daily

· Comfortable working in a Landfill Environment, and around moving Heavy Equipment

· Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time

· Extensive visual and auditory observation during work

· Write and read job-related notes via email, etc.

· All PPE (excluding boots, a voucher is provided to purchase your own) and equipment will be provided to complete each task successfully

· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers

· Subject to random drug testing

· 40 Hour HAZWOPER (Provided by Morrow Energy)

· H2S Awareness (Provided by Morrow Energy)

· Knowledge and comfortability with concepts such as pressure, temperature, chemical composition, and flow are essential to the function of this role.

· Experience in a lab or data driven role utilizing analytical equipment is a plus but not required

· Education, Experience, Certifications, Competencies, Skills, and Abilities above the minimum requirements are not required but are advantageous in this position: Processing Technology Certification

Position: Plant Operator

Pay: $20.00 – 23.00/hr.

Standard Operating Days/Hours:

· Rotating Schedule 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (not to exclude weekends, overtime and rotating on-call)
