Our client, an American biopharmaceutical company, is actively looking for a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join their team in Boston! This role is onsite hybrid so local candidates are required.
***This is a 6 month initial contract with the opportunity to extend based on performance***
This Strategic Sourcing Analyst will provide support to initiatives designed to strengthen Strategic Sourcing capabilities in key areas such as process improvement, policies and governance, technology assessment and implementation, analytics, supplier relationship management, competitive bidding (RFx and e-auctions) and training and development activities. This role will work cross-functionally within Strategic Sourcing and the broader organization to understand business priorities and needs to define specific initiatives, aligned with best industry practices, to deliver value to the business.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global source-to-order (S2O) processes to enhance the value of the Strategic Sourcing organization
- Assist with developing a supplier performance management program that includes executive business reviews, developing/updating action plans, defining success metrics and monitoring KPI progress
- Support the introduction of best practices and better ways of managing work and creating processes that support advancing our strategic priorities
- Develop internal networks to increase communication, knowledge sharing, and engagement to enhance and improve our business processes
- Assist with development of communication plans with Strategic Sourcing teams and stakeholders to drive consistency and alignment to Strategic Sourcing vision
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of Sourcing experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Proficient understanding of sourcing, procurement and AP processes and industry best practices in areas such as procurement technology, risk management, supplier relationship management, stakeholder management and market intelligence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong knowledge of ERP systems, P2P systems and related e-Sourcing tools, including business intelligence and reporting platforms
- Strong analytical capabilities (data analysis and benchmarking research); proficiency working with data analytical/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Sound understanding and demonstrated use of Continuous Improvement tools (including Pareto Charts, Flow Diagrams, etc.) to drive process improvements
Salary : $80 - $100
