Our Client is seeking anexperienced and detailoriented Collision Estimator to join theirteam. The Collision Estimator will be responsible for evaluatingcollision damage preparing accurate repair estimates andcoordinating with insurance companies and customers to ensure thatall repairs are performed to the highest standards.
The successfulcandidate must have excellent communication and customer serviceskills a thorough understanding of collision repair processes andthe ability to work in a fastpacedenvironment.
Responsibilities :
- Greetcustomers and conduct a thorough inspection of their vehicle toidentify all collisiondamage
- Prepare accurate repairestimates using computerized estimating software ensuring that allrepairs are in compliance with insuranceguidelines
- Communicate withinsurance adjusters to ensure that estimates are approved in atimely manner
- Order parts andschedule repairs ensuring that all repairs are completed on timeand within budget
- Keep customersinformed throughout the repair process answering any questions theymay have and addressing anyconcerns
- Conduct quality checks toensure that all repairs meet the highest standards including properfit and finish paint color match and that all mechanical componentsare working as designed
- Maintain aclean and organized work area and properly dispose of hazardousmaterials
- Follow established safetyprocedures and guidelines to ensure a safe workenvironment
Requirements
Qualifications :
- High schooldiploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2years of experience as a collisionestimator
- Thorough understanding ofcollision repair processes and insuranceguidelines
- Ability to read andinterpret technical manuals andschematics
- Excellent customerservice skills and the ability to communicate effectively withcustomers and insuranceadjusters
- Good organizational skillsand attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple taskssimultaneously
- Proficiency incomputerized estimatingsoftware
- Valid driverslicense
Certifications :
- ASE(National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence)certification in collision repair is aplus
- ICAR (InterIndustry Conferenceon Auto Collision Repair) certification is highlypreferred
