Troubleshoot Motorola Solutions software-driven electronics, provision communication system infrastructure, perform optimization of RF and Broadband architecture including legacy analog, advanced digital P25 and data infrastructure.
Maintain, optimize, test, support and document complex mission critical communications systems.
Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with a focus on trend analysis and documentation of results.
Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues.
Continuous training in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
Team with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales personnel to effectively maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectations.
Perform maintenance of server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and troubleshoot to resolve system/application related issues.
Preferred Candidate Experience
Very strong knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN)
Proficient in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
Experience with R.F. interfaces and systems such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
Knowledge in standard telephony, dedicated data circuits, and packet switching techniques.
Strong self-management skills and "people" skills to work closely with Motorola's customers and subcontractor (MSS) community, as well as Motorola Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Service teams.
Able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situations.
Experience with logging recording systems
Candidate Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
Must be able to pass a background check
2 year Associates in Electronics or IT preferred.
Unique combinations of both multi-site RF communications systems and/or computer/networking skills are preferred.
2 years experience in one of the following: Electronics Technician, System Technologist, System Manager, or Field ServiceExperience with one or more of the following: LMR, RF systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communication systems or networking equipment
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Basic Requirements- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of Field Service experience, LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems or Networking equipment.
