Position Overview:
The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising Mount Airy Casino Resort’s payroll department. Performs “time and attendance” functions, processes information for payroll, maintains files, prepares reports and processes information that affects employee compensation. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the company’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain automated time and attendance “KRONOS” system.
- Plan, organize and participate in the timely preparation of Mount Airy Casino Resort’s payroll.
- Assure maintenance and accuracy of comprehensive payroll records.
- Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
- Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Attend all necessary training meetings.
- Assist in other projects, as directed.
- Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area preferred.
- Extensive payroll experience in a fairly large company preferred.
- Supervisory or management experience highly preferred.
