Summary:
This individual provides leadership for both Mount Desert Island Hospital and Birch Bay Retirement Village’s Fiscal Services Team, which includes but is not limited to Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Budget, Cash Coordination and Materials Management.

Requirements
Education, Training or Certifications:
- BS in Business-related field required.
- Certificate in one of the Division's services desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years financial accounting required (non-profit healthcare preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years leadership/supervisory experience required.
Special Skills:
- Understanding of accounting theory and generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
- Flexibility and change management; ability to recognize, oversee and implement change.
Cognitive Requirements:
- Analyze, interpret, and evaluate accounting and budgeting problems.
- Communicates clearly and concisely, both verbal and in writing.

- Normal office environment.

- May spend up to 65% of time each week in meetings.
