Position Responsibilities
- Checks patient chart prior to procedure to verify procedure ordered against patient requisition in accordance with written department protocol.
- Provides accurate identifying data (such as patient's name, room number, date, time and technician's ID) on each test as required.
- Performs studies in patient's room, in the department, and in other areas of the hospital, as requested
- Selects and utilizes various transducers according to anatomy.
- Differentiates normal and abnormal structures and provides written impression concerning pathology viewed while scanning.
- Assures that results are adequate for suspected diagnosis.
- ARDMS registered or eligible or CCI credentialed as RVS
- High School diploma or equivalent/Technical school preferred
- 1 year experience or graduate technical school
