Facility Maintenance Tech

Description

(PT, Year Round, Non-Benefited) The purpose of the facilities maintenance employee is to maintain the facilities, while sustaining a safe work environment. This position requires mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn the skills of the trade, with a basic knowledge in one or more of the following: electrical, plumbing, construction.

Essential Functions: 

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. 
• Carryout basic facilities repairs. 
• Identify safety issues and report them to the Facilities Manager. 
• Adhere to safety procedures. 
• Handing all aspects of trash removal. 
• Lodge snow removal 
• Maintain an enthusiastic and professional standard of guest services. 
• Be willing to take on reasonable tasks and duties as assigned for the success of companywide operations. 

Qualifications

Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements: 

• Must be at least 18 years of age. 
• Current driver’s license. 
• Safe driving record. 

Competencies Required: 

• A basic knowledge of Facilities maintenance. 
• Professional communication skills. 
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. 
• Ability to solve problems and take direction. 
• Ability to work in a team environment. 
• Possess internal drive and motivation. 
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and create a fun, professional work environment. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. without assistance. 
• Must be able to lift arms overhead. 
• Position involves bending, twisting, stooping repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Must be able to ascend and descend stairs without assistance. 
• Must be able to walk from building to building. 

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions.
• The employee occasionally is exposed to wet and/or summer and winter conditions.
• While performing this job, the employee primarily works independently but may also be required to work as part of a crew.
