Description
Each year we assemble a group of employees who are dedicated to early morning snow removal. This position is to have people scheduled for three
hours of work, 5am-8am. Sometimes running later than 8am. Only needed for days with snow in the forecast,
This is an AS NEEDED/ ON CALL POSITION. This position pays $21.25 per hour.
Qualifications
Essential Functions:
· Ability to make it to work by 5am
· Ability / Skills to safety operate a snow blower
· Ability to learn how to diagnose problems with the snow blower
·
Physical Requirements:
· 100% of the day is spent standing, walking and completing manual tasks.
· Frequently pushing snow up to 30lbs.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
· I.E. bags of ice melt, picnic tables, etc.
Competencies Required:
· Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays as well.
· Ability to take direction.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· Possess internal drive and motivation.
Work Environment:
Early Morning hours, some mornings it will be actively snowing. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working outside in
winter weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet
and/or winter conditions. While performing this job, the employee primarily
works as part of a crew but may also be required to work independently.
Snow Gear/Winter Clothes are a must, one jacket will be issued for the winter season.
