What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Mechanic Lvl C position at Mountaire Jobs?
Primary Purpose
Focuses on maintaining and repairing vehicles within a fleet. Their primary purpose is to ensure the operational readiness, safety and reliability of the fleet by conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs basic inspections and preventative maintenance. Moves equipment as needed.
- Performs basic repairs and intermediate maintenance under supervision.
- Shop clean-up and organization.
- Utilizes the Fleet Maintenance software system program.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in electrical, mechanical, automotive engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
- 1-2 years of hands-on automotive repair experience
- Diesel engine repair experience considered a plus
- Certifications in Brake Technician, Refrigerant Recovery, Engine Diagnostics highly desirable
- Must have a current/clean driver's license
- CDL license is a plus and subject to verification
