We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Counter Person to join our team at Moving Dough Pizza. As a Counter Person, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service, taking orders over the phone, and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently. Your warm and welcoming demeanor, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities will be essential in ensuring our customers have a memorable dining experience.
Must have open availability Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
Answer phone calls and assist customers with inquiries, take orders, and provide accurate information about our menu offerings.
Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Order Processing:Accurately record and process customer orders through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
Verify order details, including special requests and dietary restrictions.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
Payment Handling:Process payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and contactless payments, accurately.
Provide customers with receipts and handle change as needed.
Menu Knowledge:Stay knowledgeable about our menu items, ingredients, and promotions to assist customers with their choices.
Make recommendations based on customer preferences and dietary requirements.
Maintain Cleanliness:Keep the counter area, POS system, and surrounding workspaces clean and organized.
Ensure condiments, napkins, and utensils are well-stocked and readily available to customers.
Team Collaboration:Work closely with kitchen staff and delivery drivers to coordinate orders and maintain smooth operations.
Assist in packaging and handing over completed orders to customers.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Strong communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
