Ophthalmic Technician
Moyes Eye Center is a fast-paced growing surgical practice that is dedicated in providing exceptional service. We are currently hiring for Ophthalmic Technicians to join our ever-growing team of professionals who share our focus of great patient care! Experienced Ophthalmic Technicians are preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right individual.
Job Responsibilities
- Checks condition of patient's eyes by observing pupils, muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movements
- Records medical history, current medications, and confirms purpose of visit
- Records all data in the patient's electronic medical record
- Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms and ocular medications
- Triage phone calls from patients with concerns
- Once trained, required skills include: dilation, refraction, pressures, and performing a variety of diagnostic tests including but not limited to; visual fields, OCT, Fundus Camera, Pentacam, IOL master, auto refractor and Specular Microscopy
- Provide exceptional customer service to every patient
Experience and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must possess strong computer skills
- One-year related experience – Preferred
- Ophthalmic or Optometric Technician Experience – Preferred
- COA or COT certification – Preferred, but will consider otherwise qualified candidates with less experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
