MP Technologies (MPT) is a world-class, nationwide turnkey construction services provider with over 40 years of experience. MP Technologies, LLC is looking for a Foreman with gas construction experience. This long term project - 3 to 5 years. Work locations would include: Annandale, St. Cloud, Brainerd, Big Lake, Becker, Minnesota and more! Must be willing to travel.
***Work will start in the Spring 2024
Position Summary:
The Foreman manages crew members so natural gas construction is completed in an orderly, timely and cost-effective fashion. When necessary, the Foreman operates equipment or performs production activities to complete installation of natural gas utilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly of gas piping and equipment using calibrated inspection tools
- Examine connections & tightly fasten all parts
- Verify specifications by performing and recording QA tests & measurements on a wide variety of equipment
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications
- Using a hand shovel, dig around existing utility structures to prevent damage
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Motivate others to achieve productivity, quality, and safety goals
- Maintain records for documentation and reporting
- Communicate project updates daily
- Train others in proper procedures and specifications
- Other duties as assigned
- Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
- Ability to pass annual Fusion certificate
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must obtain a current DOT Health Card
- Must join and maintain union membership
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Knowledge of underground utilities and locator markings
- Ability to interact with public, supervisors, and coworkers professionally at all times
- Possess a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
Required Education and Experience:
- 2 years of experience in relevant natural gas construction trade(s) such as fitter/fuser, operator, or welder
- Experience in gas operations
- OSHA 10
Physical Demands:
- Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching and crawling
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
