Quantitative Developer Job Duties: The Quantitative Developer (multiple openings) at MPG Operations LLC in New York, NY will use statistical techniques to build portfolio analytics and visualizations. Work for Quant Strategies Management, alongside quantitative developers and with the help of software engineers to develop systems and portfolio analytics for the Firm’s Quantitative Equities Strategy. Work with quant management, technology, and risk teams to build and maintain our proprietary portfolio analytics dashboard application. Maintain a robust data pipeline involving databases, parquet file stores, and memory caches. Assist in the development of a centralized quantitative signal database. Perform data-oriented processing using Python (particularly Pandas/NumPy). Utilize knowledge in data pipeline engineering, ETL for large datasets, MS SQL Server and Postgres, and scheduling tools including Airflow. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Salary: $175,000 - $250,000 per year. Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience in a statistical modeling occupation, or related occupation. Must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: (1) Python development using numerical libraries including Pandas and NumPy; (2) ETL pipeline; (3) SQL databases; (4) Linux environments; (5) Front end web development; and (6) front office trading settings.
