What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appliance Repair Technician position at Mr. Appliance?
Mr. Appliance is the leading full service appliance repair and maintenance company in the world. We provide service for all types and brand of appliances. This position requires a great deal of customer interaction. The technician must understand the customer’s problem and be able to effectively communicate the diagnosis and proposed solutions.
Responsibilities: Provide maintenance and repair to household appliances Resolve issues in a timely manner Communicate and educate customers regarding their Appliances Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, etc. Communicate with the Customer Service Representative throughout the work day Work efficiently to maintain the time schedule Maintain accurate parts inventory Maintain the cleaning and maintenance schedule of the company vehicle.
Minimum Requirements: Will train in appliance repair but electrical or mechanical background a plus. Strong knowledge of seal system repair and have your EPA Technician Certification would give you even more opportunities as a training tech. Strong diagnostic skills Experience with mechanical system troubleshooting using various tools and test instruments Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to discuss technical issues with the customer and complete repairs to the Customers satisfaction Ability to lift or manipulate heavy equipment Ability to work in tight places Ability to sell our services and explain the advantages to the Customer Honesty, proficiency, integrity and a good work ethic Ability to work with iPad, email, etc. Ability to read and understand schematics Operating within our Code of Values, to Respect others with Integrity, remain Customer Focused and Having Fun in the Process.
Qualifications: Candidates must have valid license and clean driving record. Candidates must undergo a basic background investigation including criminal background check, and drug testing. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
