SUMMARY:

· Pool Attendant/Server is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean aquatic recreational area for guests. Responsible for making each guest aware of the pool rules and calling out those who break these rules.

· Pool Attendant/Server must have good interpersonal skills to sense inter-guest conflicts before they escalate.

  • Provide excellent service consistent with the hotel’s standards operating procedures and brand attributes.
  • Greet all guests upon arrival, distribute towels, help with seating, and delivering consistent guest service, exceeding guest expectations, and providing all other supporting services.
  • Able to take orders properly and knowledge of the Micros system, communicate well with the kitchen and restaurant staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Requirements:

Ø Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.

Ø Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional Customer service.

Ø Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).

Ø Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.

Ø Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word and Excel.

Ø Professional appearance appropriate for a Leading Hotel of the World property.

Ø Able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail, ability to multi-task

Ø Must have good communication and ability to promote sales.

Ø Must be skilled in time management.

Attitude:

Ø Must exhibit an excellent service attitude and be willing to go out of their way to accommodate the guests and exceed their expectations.

Ø Must be flexible and able to adjust to meet the changing needs of guests.

· Must maintain a level of professionalism and communicate effectively.

· Must be considerate, patient, and willing to help fellow employees.

· Must have a good self-image and be able to command the respect of the employees.

· Must be able to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times.

· Must handle guests’ complaints according to Mr. C policies and procedures.

· Possess the highest work ethics, personal morals and honesty beyond reproach.

Duties:

  • Anticipate guests’ needs and ensure that service meets/exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant experience, dining and at the pool.
  • Maintain communication with and supports the Restaurant and Rooms Staff
  • Knowledgeable of pool facility such as length and depth of all pools, how many laps it takes to make complete a mile in meters and feet etc.
  • Pool hours of operation, location of facilities, and emergency procedure for rescue.
  • Knowledgeable of hotel facilities and services to answer guest inquiries.
  • Willing to take ownership of all guest requests and complaints, try to resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guests satisfaction
  • Identify and report defects throughout the pool, notify supervisors and concerned departments immediately of hazards, injuries, equipment or processes that negatively affect the operations.
  • Ensure the pool deck is swept and watered down and that all furniture is in the correct place, when setting up in the morning
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of resuscitation, first aide, and CPR/PR techniques
  • Knowledge of swimming pool equipment enough to be able to perform minor maintenance work on the equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of pool deck and facilities including straightening and stacking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs, towels, umbrellas, and cleaning signs.
  • Work closely with other departments that are essential to ensuring a positive guest experience
  • Properly utilize performance feedback, recognition, training, and adherence to company policies, legal requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 per hour
