Join Our Team as a Warehouse Trainer in Miami!
Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365 days a year, 7 days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. We service a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets. All our facilities are PrimusGFS certified and managed under a regulus food safety and safety program.
Job Summary:
The role of a Warehouse Trainer involves mentoring all new employees and developing an employee orientation program. Your responsibilities include training and onboarding new hires, ensuring they understand all warehouse operations and safety regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Warehouse Trainer.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to multiple temperature zones.
- Previous warehouse experience, preferably in leadership roles.
- Forklift operation certification and teaching certification.
- Strong knowledge of safety laws and the ability to teach Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Train new associates according to our Training Curriculum (SOP) by zone.
- Develop and update training plans as necessary.
- Provide additional training to existing employees when needed.
- Report food safety issues and comply with sanitation codes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Demonstrate the use of power equipment and certify workers to operate forklifts.
- Maintain and monitor the completion of all training-related tasks, following the performance progression schedule and completing training documents.
- Audit the training process.
- Track new employee performance and monitor their progress.
- Assist warehouse operations with other responsibilities when not conducting training duties.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) specific to food processing plants.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to continuously stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and move/push/pull/lift items weighing from 50-75 lbs. safely and without difficulty
- Able to work in temperatures ranging from 30F- 80F (being mindful of our Florida weather during the summer months)
- Have a full range of body motion
